What worked in California worked in that big Mexican city, Chicago, to tie up our govenour's race. I told you that all you need in Illinois to register to vote is a piece of mail with your name on it. Look for those rules to change.

I have always said that California would be a wonderful place to live if the Californians were'nt there! Well, at least they did not vote to legalize weed - for all that is worth.

***** The most important race yesterday was the California Senate one. Sure Reid/Angle in Nevada mattered BUT in the Big Scheme of things(2012) it is now rather obvious that a Republican cannot win Statewide anymore. In 2012 California will have 58 Electoral Votes. They are like 80/20 % going to go Democratic.

This means that the GOP (regardless of who the nominee is will have to Crack either the North East or the Midwest to acheive a Majority - all States Obama carried in 2008 . This is unlikely.

***** Bottom Line - Barry's 2012 chances were not greatly hindered by last nights results.
