My census job

Well, my job with the US Census turned out to be a bust. I went to one week of training, then worked two weeks, and we finished our area. There won't be anymore work until late in April when we begin the follow-up stage.

Det, thanks for setting up the temporary forum. Maybe when it comes time to follow up on all the people who didn't send the form back or didn't answer all the questions (like me), you'll get busier. I've got a feeling that's when the "fun" work will begin.

I got a response to my "civil disobedience letter" that I attached to my incomplete census form and returned. It was a form letter with my $100 check enclosed. It said, "We are returning this material received at a 2010 Census Data Capture Center. Our facility is focused on processing responses to the 2010 Census."

I'm taking this response to mean that they have either $h-t canned my letter (which was NOT returned) or they have forwarded it to Napalitano's jack-booted thugs for "further action". Film at eleven.

I go back to work next week. I'll be following up on people like you.
